[Thinkpad] T240X Screen Problems

Hello List Members,

I've got a ThinkPad 240x here that seems to have the common screen flickering and display glitches that the 240 series machines are so well known for.

What is the common fix for this? The machine does not do it all the time, but is quite annoying when it does. Lines run through the screen, it flickers and fades in and out, etc.

Does re-seating the cable to the motherboard usually cure the problem, or will I need to purchase a new cable? If the latter, does anyone know of a good source for the cable?
