[Thinkpad] my T41 experience and bad pixel(s):(

i got mine 10 days ago and had been enjoying it for a while when i was frequently
disturbed to detect that the cpu usage was 100% when i only opened 2 internet explorer
windows--i called ibm and their answer was ambiguous and not very constructive--therefore
i referred to this list and found that the problem was caused by the battery maximizer
program. i uninstalled it and then everything seemed fine till this afternoon. by
accident i opened a DOS window and the screen turned into black and then i found
a not so small red spot shining on top left of the screen--but when i shifted back
to white color it is barely seen. i called ibm and was told that unless the bad
pixel exceeds 7 will they exchange that. but the guy also suggested me to call the
customer center to see whether i can return it. but my R30, which i have been using
for 2 years, does not have a SINGLE bad pixel so far!
as for the other aspects, i am a little intimidated by the two thin plastic
edges on the 2 sides of the computer--they are so fragile and soooooo shaky that
i feel scared when pressing on them:(
just want to check whether those T series users have got the same problem?
how can u decide or test how many bad pixels u have?

(ps, i tried to send out a letter just now but it was bounced--this is my 2nd try--plz delete this if u have got 2 same mails)
