Ummm ok, so I keep W2k as disk( 0 ) or disk(1) then add a line that has
disk(2) for Windows 98?

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000
Professional" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(2)rdisk(0)partition(1)\Win98="Microsoft Windows 98 Second
Edition" /fastdetect

There's no way it could be this simple!??

By the way, both individual hard drives are partitioned into 4 but the OS
for each is located on C:

instructions for dual-booting and change the disk(x) parameter to
reflect the alternate drive. I haven't done this for a long time so I
forget the exact syntax.
