Lenova - another trade name designed to succeed in Latin America
Le no va = it doesn't go to him, it doesn't work for him,
approximately.
Leno va = host in motion. Ha ha.
I wonder what will happen to IBM's assembly plant in El Salto,
outside Guadalajara, Mexico ... ? Imagine, maquiladoras with
Chinese overlords.
It seems to me that another company without the bureaucratic
overburden of IBM *could* make a go of this and produce wonderful
computers. "So, Mau-Seng, let's look at the Thinkpad list archives,
find out what's being complained about on the street, and fix it."
Here's hoping!
It's hard to imagine the new company duplicating IBM's worldwide
service network. And what will happen when you escalate an
EZ-Serve complaint?
