I gotta say it!
I think this is my fault. I first was a loyal user of Borland's Products -
look where they are now . . .
Then I was directed to DR-DOS and loved it only to say good by at it's wake
at the Novel Graveyard.
This happened roughly at the same time I had my affair with Geoworks (GEOS).
GEOS barley exists as it breaths ever so faintly at Breadbox.
I decided to go to OS/2 (several times) only to see it go up in smoke.
Though I currently (and happily) use Lotus SmartSuite, it is not all that
difficult to see it go poof in some dark and stormy night in Cambridge MA.
I was a user of Manage your own Money but it certain demise sent me to
Quicken.
I hate to say it, but the list goes on - man, does it go on . . .
When searching for computer hardware, I chose to go IBM, because with my
luck, I decided that going with a company of that size, there was little
chance that could go under - plus their hardware quality and service had
something to do with it.
I brought all the others down, but they were small companies in comparison.
I just could not imagine, I had the power to bring IBM down! I guess the
only thing I can do now to save IBM PCs & Notebooks is to start an affair
with Dell! Yikes!
