[Thinkpad] USB drive suggestion?

Hey all,

I'm hoping someone here might have suggestions on a USB drive.

I would mostly use it to back up an X40 (USB 2) but I might also need to use
it with an old X20 (USB1.1).

Since there seem to be roughly a zillion drives to choose from, I was
wondering if there are a few common favorites (in order, I'd say that my
needs are: reliability, storage size, performance).
