[Thinkpad] Memory for 2373

Could someone advise me whether to get PC2100 or PC2700 memory for a new
computer. It's a 2373 but labeled T43 which I find quite confusing. I
see most T42s as being 2378 and needing PC2700 (333MHz) memory while most
2373s seem to be T41s or T40s using PC2100 (266MHz) memory.

Does it even matter which type of memory I get?

I only find one slot under the cover so I guess I can only add 1GB and the
machine will max out at 1.5GB. Or can the base memory also be changed?
