  I swapped in an Intel 2200BG WiFi MiniPCI card in my 600X (2645-5FU),
  removing the modem card.

  I got it to connect to my LinkSys 802.11B WAP with a 128-bit WEP key. I
  haven't yet installed an antenna, so my range was about four feet. Antennae
  are on the way from an eBay auction.
