Hello,

Does anyone still own TP560 (no letter at the end)? I am asking for help from such people.

I have a problem with BIOS upgrade (in order to install big and silent HDD) as something goes wrong with battery part of motherboard. You know for IBM it is not possible to upgrade BIOS without 100% charged battery.

In fact I have found solution: s/w that reads, writhes BIOS chip well without checking battery status. But I it does not eat binary file provided by IBM.

An I thought that there could be a kind person who would kindly agree to read BOIS from his(her) TP560 (something like Type 2640T95) and send it to me.

here is a link to the mentioned above s/w: http://www.uniflash.org/
I have checked it as far is I could. Nice and clean. Support TP560.
