This is my week for external problems.
This used to work, I hit FN-F7 and chose the schema "External Only"
which I've used many times when my notebook is hooked up to
external keyboard and mouse (so I get the external monitor too).
Today, I get an error: "The following settings you have selected
cannot be applied properly. Change the setting and try again.
Display Configuration"
The monitor's working, it's on a KVM switch (same as always before)
and set to the ThinkPad's side. Cable is connected before choosing
the display schema. I also tried "dual display" with the same
result.
Details of the schema are:
Display Configuration: "External Monitor or Project Only"
LCD: Resolution, Color Quality, Refresh Rate, all "Disabled"
External Monitor: "VGA connector", "1280x1024", "Highest (32 bit)",
"85 Hz"
and the other options set to "No".
All I want is to display on my 19" CRT instead of my notebook
screen, nothing tricky like turn on the light or anything else
presentation-ish.
I also tried a 2-screens schema (which has worked before but I
don't use) with the same error.
Any ideas what I could have done to cause this?
Thanks!
