Hi Alex,
Im a thinkpad dealer in the UK. thats in the EEC.
you can have the benefit of my experience of laptops in general and
thinkpads in particular.
theres absolutely no question about it,
the thinkpad range has more spares available for more models than any
other laptop.
So if you care about your friend you cant advise he gets anything other
than a thinkpad.
Now there are prettier ones like the sony, and trendier ones like the
Power book,
but heaven help you when it needs servicing or whatever.
the cost will be more than what you paid for it in the first place and
most likely more than your pay for another thinkpad.
I wont sell or stock any other make,
why? because I get less problems than with any other make.
I like a quiet life and more importantly happy customers.
They tell their friends and they come to me.
your best bet is to buy from a reputable dealer in the UK who will ship
to germany.
Currently the best price over performance range is the T range.
I carry these in stock and will ship to your country.
Most of my customers come and see my stock at my workshop and see them
working
and come back if they have any queries.
I can get a day trip to Germany for under 50 euros , can you do the same
frome Germany to the UK?
Come and look see.
Ted Frater Dorset UK.
