That's not going to help with glare, plus everyone will laugh at you.

Somewhere I have a laptop sunshield which worked OK if it wasn't too
bright out - this consists of black cardboard that attaches to the top
and sides of the LCD, coming towards the viewer at a right angle. You
could reproduce this by finding a suitable cardboard box, cutting off a
couple of adjacent sides, and slipping the rest over your machine.

There also used to be soft (cloth) covers available, basically a cloth
tube with your head in one end and the screen in the other. that way,
when you're outside you
