[Thinkpad] big disk, small xp

i swapped disks from a 40gb to a 80gb on my x31 running xpprof.
i used a systemrescue/partimage to make an image of the 40 gb
disk, formatted the 80gb to a single ntfs partition and then
restored from the image. however, when i go to properties on
IBM_PRELOAD(C:), it shows a capacity of 34 gb (about 19 gb used,
15 free). if i go to format
on C: it shows me Formt IBM_PRELOAD (C:) Capacity 74.5 GB.

is there any way to get XP to see the whole disk? the disk was
completely formatted (first with qt_parted, then when i noticed
the anomaly, i used the XP install disk to reformat the drive).

if there is no good way to get XP to grow into the partition, my
fallback will be to shrink the partition to about 34 gb and make a
new one and keep my files there.

thanks in advance,

-rei
