Re: [Thinkpad] OTP: Tungsten E2 PDA recommendation?

I don't know about the Tungston ... er forgot about it from when I was
looking at my alternatives. My choice for a PDA was performance driven
.. not cost. Thus I have an HP hx4705 -- now already out of production
but still available. The unit has 16bit 640x480 screen, fast processor
and CF plus SD expansion slots (have 2GB SD plus 4GB CF (NOT Microdrive)
fast cards -- great for video play back), as well as BT, WiFi and IR ,
plus voice recording, etc. Admittedly a very hi-end unit but if you
have lots of data to store plus display requirements -- it is an
outstanding choice, and FAST. Also I have accumulated a fair number of
apps now -- from data-base/PIM (6000 name entries), to productivity
apps, image and video apps, file manager, etc.

My A31p is a bit much for instant access to select data away from the
office .. and that is where the 4705 is an on-the-go extension of my TP.

My nickel's worth.

My daughter will grad this June as a Hospital Unit Coordinator and needs a PDA to keep prescription drug dictionaries etc on. I've been looking at the Tungsten E2 as the best bang for the buck, since it can do wireless, upgrade memory etc, and not cost a bomb either. Does anyone recommend this or use this one, and will it do for day to day work? She doesn't really need all the bells and whistles but would like to have something she can add mem to, and use in hotspots if necessary, but really is secondary.
