Hi Matt. Now it's been a *really* long time since you've done the
install. I'm still getting the error message "The device cannot start
(Code 10)" using the PCMCIA interface.

I've got a T40p, and while it mostly runs Debian GNU/Linux, for this
particular application, I need to run Windows (XP Pro SP2). I followed
your directions:

1. Uninstalled existing IBM Portable Drive Bay 2000 devices in Device
   Manager.

2. Removed \windows\inf\oem23.inf (is that the one you meant?)

3. Ran pdb2000.exe driver from IBM and extracted
   \drivers\pdb2000\pcmcia\win2000\devbay2k.inf.

4. Inserted device with a CD-ROM inserted, ran Control Panel > Add
Hardware, picked the above driver manually (Have Disk). The
installation seemed to proceed OK, but then hung for a minute or
two before giving the Code 10 error message.

Did I follow the steps correctly? What do you (or any friendly person
listening) recommend I try? Return the drive bay? ;-)

What's the CardBus device that is also offered on driver installation?

I didn't have any luck with the USB interface either.
