[Thinkpad] Off Topic RE: Fujitsu 200GB notebook HD?

I still have a spec sheet laying around here somewhere, where I had spec a
desktop pc for our office and the order was on hold awaiting the NEW and
WHOPPIN', 750MB hard drive!!! Naturally, we were thinking "hey, with that
size, we wouldn't need a new hdd for years!

We were also holding out for a 486 processor... Ooooooo.

My God, I just realized... That wasn't that long ago! 10, 12 years ago?

I can now be found, every day, with 3.25gb of storage in usb thumb drives in
my left pants pocket.

While nothing is equal, and miniaturization does increase costs, I recently
bought a 500Gb Seagate hdd, (full size), for $259, less a $40 rebate.

Used an external drive holder with USB 2.0 connection and Voila!
We have backup space again.

Is it just me or do larger hard drives fill faster than small ones?
Not that I ever delete anything.......LOL

Matt
