Mike, I believe your comment:

Does in fact ring true. The programs of the eighties were much easier to
use. No right and left clicking, no Photoshop quality pictures needed to
drive user interest, fewer multi-hundred dollar costing programs, and easier
to see text displays.
I've currently got an IBM Thinkpad 600e which I got from my brother about
July 2004. Since about June of the following year my power battery died. I
recently bought a replacement for it. My brother said I was worthless to
spend the money, but I couldn't help myself. Super fast or not, this unit
is extremely useful. I can always rely on it to work and it's got the
original HDD that's over 8 years old! As an added bonus, a few days after I
ordered the battery the CMOS battery died, and I needed to order that too.
I lost a week
Most of my site was typed on the 600e. I'm currently looking to get a
Thinkpad T43, not as a replacement for the 600e, but as a faster system that
I can do research with. If anyone is curious about my research, you can
read about it at:

Not spamming, just trying to pass along a little knowledge, as I am a
collector.
