The screen image is sitting about 1 millimetre too high on the display. I can position is properly using xvidtune, but I can't get the resulting modeline to work in the Xorg configuration. Checking the log files, it looks like there is an ATI module which overrides the xorg.conf file. Ubuntu uses xorg 7.0.0 Does anyone have any idea what might work? I'm not having much luck... Everything seems to have autodetected OK, except that the X screen is positioned about 1 millimetre too high on the laptop display. It's an ATI internal AGP graphics card. Ubuntu uses xorg 7.0.0 If I adjust the position using xvidtune, it can be adjusted to the right position. I then generated a modeline, and put that in the monitor section of xorg.conf. I can see my xorg.conf file getting loaded in the log file, but the defaults from the ATI module seem to be the ones getting loaded, and my modeline is being ignored. Has anyone got any ideas that might help? I'm getting a little desperate. Thanks, M
