[OmniBook] XE3 power problem - SOLVED

Hi,
I had your same problem, just solved last week: AC adapter was ok, battery ok too (but completely flat...), no power when plugged. Initially, it seemed only socket fault:

After some days, the notebook got no power.
A (non-HP) technician proved the socket was good, while the failure was in the whole power circuit on motherboard.
Now I got my motherboard repaired for EUR 120 (not so cheap, but less expensive than a new mb...) and three years warranty. All is ok, except the power led doesn't light on.
So, look for a good&cheap technician :-), or buy new mb :-/, or new notebook... :-(
